Birds Fly Away

from In Spite of Entropy by A Montreal Paul

/

lyrics

They're flying in formation in the sky
I'm left far behind, they're soaring high
I am a speck down on the ground, beauty abounds
In so many scenes to see all the world around

Change is in the air once again
Stumbling in between the now and then
The wind is blowing the leaves around
Before they form a blanket for the ground

Looking at the sky, starry eyed
There's a need in me that can't be denied
And as the dusk falls at the end of the day
Honking birds are heard flying away

Let me fly away to warmer climes
Let changes lead us to find better times
Why would we add such heavy burdens to a life
With these games that bring unneeded strife?
